Ok so our house still smells like bbq sauce and our living room floor has a hole the size of the Grand Canyon, but being home has never been so sweet! I am so thankful that we don’t have to spend the holidays in a lake house or our camper, but at the same time I’m ashamed. I have been so caught up in all the negative aspects of my Christmas break - that I have ignored the reality that there are people out there who live this way 365 days a year. In an earlier post I wrote that God was awesome no matter how/where I spent the holidays and every time I was negative- SOMEONE was quick to remind me of that. To be honest I was kind of irritated because that SOMEONE just didn’t understand. I know now that I was the one that didn’t understand. I was so blind to the blessings I had in front of me that I chose to ignore them and ended up focusing exclusively on myself. So what if our house smells like bbq sauce and the Grand Canyon size-hole will still be there tomorrow? We have a home and I am so thankful! God IS awesome no matter how/where I spend the holidays!!
Ok so I’m going to be late for work if I don’t cut this blog off now, but I just wanted to apologize for being such a negative person this week. Thank you for reminding me!

My family is having to stay in a lake house for a couple of weeks until our house is finished with the rebuilding from the fire. We're all pretty upset about it but what can ya do? I asked Carey what I should write on my blog and this is what she came up with....
